His Legacy… Thomas Wayne Gubala Sr., 90, passed away December 28, 2025.  He was born on July 17, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan to Edward Gubala and Helen (Babrowski) Gubala. Thomas married Patricia Guise, 71 years ago on November 6, 1954, in Redford, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a well-respected and successful businessman owning a tool and die shop for 36 years. Honesty, integrity and quality were the characteristics he lived by.  Thomas could make or fix anything, spending much of his time and energy restoring cars.  He got his pilot’s license due to his love of airplanes and flying. Thomas and Pat enjoyed many winters in Florida together. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 57 years. He will be deeply missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.

His Family… Thomas will be missed by his wife, Patricia; his children, Germaine Pierre, Thomas W. (Laura) Gubala Jr., Guy Gubala, Victor (Kristin) Gubala; brother, George Gubala; grandchildren, Jessica, Gwendlyn, Wayne, Jocelyn, Danielle, Lauren, Jayson, Justin, Erin; great grandchildren Eli, Emma, Owen, Liam, Bruce, Myles; and his  life-long and loyal friend, Frederick J. Webb. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Helen Gubala; Siblings, Mary Williams, Betty Rehmer, Edward Gubala Jr., Robert Gubala.

His Farewell… Thomas’ family and friends will gather at 9:30 am, Monday, January 5, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell, Michigan with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30am. Father Gary Koenigsknecht will serve as celebrant.
