Minshall, Thomas
Pinckney, Michigan
Thomas William Minshall, age 59, passed away at his home on July 17, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born on September 22, 1961, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Thomas and Patricia (Cameron) Minshall. A faithful University of Michigan fan, Tom spent his time rooting for the Maize and Blue every fall, reciting classic Bob Ufer broadcasts and reliving the magic of the 1997 championship season. Tom also enjoyed pulling elaborate pranks on his loved ones, perfecting his Axl Rose shoulder shimmy and headbanging to classic rock songs on vinyl. He and his signature sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tom leaves behind his children, Alycia and Joshua Minshall. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael and Robert (Corinne) Minshall, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Tom’s community farewell will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel, with a gathering at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Bill Donahue will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. In honor of Tom, please wear your best University of Michigan garb to the service. Please leave a message of comfort for Tom’s family at 877-231-7900 or sign his guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
