Timothy Devlin Obituary

Devlin, Timothy

Houghton Lake, MI

His Legacy… Timothy James Devlin, 78, passed away July 27, 2025.  He was born on September 6, 1946, in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Thomas Devlin and Mary (Mulcahy) Devlin. Tim married the love of his life, Lorraine Miklasiewicz, on June 22, 1985, in California. Tim started his career as a journeyman in the construction industry in Michigan. His career took him to California, then to Minnesota, then back to California, and then back to Michigan. Tim and his wife, Lorraine settled into their home in Houghton Lake after retirement. Tim was a highly respected tradesman and acted as the director of the apprenticeship program while he was working in California. Everybody liked Tim and he was very sociable. Before health problems slowed him down, he enjoyed sailing and golfing. Even as his health diminished, he never complained. Tim was a joy to know and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

His Family… Tim will be missed by his wife, Lorraine Devlin; siblings, Patrick (Carla) Devlin, Kathleen (Jon) Burman, Kevin (Deanna) Devlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Devlin; and sister, Margaret Lundin.

His Farewell… Tim’s family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. Father John Vinton will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Parkinson’s Association, American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association.
