His Legacy… Trevor Joseph VanMarter, 45, passed away February 18, 2025.  He was born on July 9, 1979, in Farmington Hills, Michigan to Robert VanMarter and Kristy (Carney) VanMarter.   He will be remembered for being fun loving and devoted to his family and friends.  He spent several years in Colorado enjoying snowboarding and learning about the geography of the mountains. Trevor returned home to Michigan as his family was most important to him and wanted to play an active role in his nieces and nephews lives.  He enjoyed country music, driving country roads, being around a campfire and held a great appreciation for everything in nature.  Trevor enjoyed being with family and friends while vacationing in the far north of the Upper Peninsula and far south in Alabama.   He had a great sense of humor, was an avid reader, and loved spending time outdoors.

His Family… Trevor will be missed by; parents, Robert and Kristy VanMarter; siblings, Brandon (Kelly) VanMarter; nieces and nephews, Barret, Keegan, Alina VanMarter; uncle and aunt, Bob (Cathy) O’Connell; cousins, Shaun (Danielle) O’Connell, Olivia O’Connell, Megan (Richard) Janssens . He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Jan Carney, Eleanore VanMarter.

His Farewell… Trevor’s family and friends will gather 1:00-5:00 PM, with a Community Farewell Service at 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025  at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan. Pastor Doug McMunn will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Livingston County Humane Society.
