Her Legacy… Virginia June Fenner, 83, passed away September 30, 2025. She was born on June 4, 1942, in Midland, MI and cared for by her parents Floyd Schultz and June (Dufort) Schultz. Virginia married the love of her life, George Fenner, on April 28th, 1962 in Hemlock, Michigan. She will be remembered as a healer, more than just a mom and the family rock. Virginia always looked out for her family and had a great sense of humor, was constantly forgiving, and never argued with her husband, George, except jokingly. Virginia was an excellent cook, prepared with her grocery list, and a love of preparing holiday dinners but the ability to cook anything. Virginia loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew her.
Her Family… Virginia will be missed by her husband, George Fenner; her daughters, Claudine (Scott) Merva and Danielle (Douglas) Howard; sister, JoAnne Glynn; Sisters-in-Law, Karen Schultz and Julie Hubbard; Grandchildren, Angelina Fenner, Samantha Fenner, Elizabeth Merva, Jacob Merva, Jack Howard; great -grandchildren, Geordyn Fenner and Mason Fenner; and best friend, Carol Fisher. She is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and June; son Scott Fenner; and Brother Jerome Schultz.
Her Farewell… Virginia’s family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 9th, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hamburg, 7701 M-36, Whitmore Lake, MI 48189. Her Community Farewell will follow the gathering at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jeff Burgess will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
