Quinn, Virginia
Howell, Michigan
Her Legacy…Virginia Elizabeth Quinn, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to Albert and Dorothy (Crandall) Clarey. On August 8, 1959, she married the love of her life, Cornelius Quinn, together they built a beautiful life for nearly 66 years.
She will be fondly remembered for her joyful spirit, her deep love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and for being a loving and faithful wife to her beloved Cornelius. Virginia devoted over a decade to caring for others as a registered nurse. She also had the gift of hospitality—especially when it came to her legendary Thanksgiving dinners. Her Irish Soda Bread and homemade apple pies were among the most treasured family recipes, lovingly passed down and often requested at every gathering.
She generously gave her time and talents as a Sultana in the Order of Alhambra, planning joyful events for children with developmental disabilities. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross-stitching baby afghans, working on puzzles, and gathering with loved ones to play cards.
Virginia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 25 years, where her quiet, steady faith touched the lives of others. She found great comfort in praying the Rosary daily and her husband would share that he knew from the moment they met that she would get him home to heaven. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Howell Chapter), honoring her family’s history and heritage.
