His Legacy… Walter Vaughn Scott, 84, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1941, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George and Jean (Roche) Scott. Walter married Lois Kidd, on August 24, 1974, in Ionia, Michigan. Walter will be remembered for his passion in supporting The University of Michigan athletics and his favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. Walter was someone who was a voracious reader, who loved to ride his bike and enjoyed being in the company of dogs. Walter graduated from St. Thomas High School, and the University of Michigan where he graduated with his master’s degree. Walter then went on to work as a pharmacist where he worked at a variety of hospitals and retail locations. He enjoyed golfing in the Ann Arbor Municipal Golf League and bowling in the University of Michigan Hospital Bowling League for over 50 years, as well as playing baseball and softball. Walter was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
His Family… Walter will be missed by his wife Lois Scott; his children Dianne Honel, Ted (Mike Phillips) Scott and Andrew (Carolyn) Scott, grandchildren; Autumn, Denver, Dallas, Ellie and Lauren, great- grandchildren; Allison, Hailey and Rosemary. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Jean Scott and his brother Thomas Scott.
His Farewell… Walters’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, from 5:00PM-8:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Hamburg, Michigan. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, at 11:00AM (10:00AM gathering) at St. Joseph Catholic Parish Country Campus, Dexter MI.
