His Legacy…Wayne Eldon DeForest, 82, passed away May 22, 2021.  He was born on January 24, 1939, in Leroy Twp, Michigan to Arthur DeForest and Eva (Meirondorf) DeForest. Wayne married the love of his life, Arlene (Dunn) DeForest, in 1965 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Wayne will be remembered as a loving, hardworking husband and father. He has been involved in farming all of his life.  Wayne was involved in 4H and won many awards.  He was also involved with the National Guard for 20 years.  Wayne loved plowing and working his fields.  In his spare time, he enjoyed model railroading, square dancing, showing cattle and the CB Club.  Wayne traveled to the Farm Bureau conventions all around the country.  He will be missed by all who knew him. 

His Family… Wayne will be missed by his wife, Arlene DeForest; his son, Howard DeForest; siblings, Edward (Barb) DeForest, Emerson (Pam) DeForest, Lynn DeForest and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Eva DeForest.

His Farewell… Wayne’s family and friends will gather Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) at Old St. Patrick Church, 5671 Whitmore Lake Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Burial will be held after service at Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor.
