His Legacy… William Allen Smith, 81, passed away April 12, 2026.  He was born on January 10, 1945, in Inez, Kentucky to Martin Smith and Gertrude (Moore) Smith. Bill married Joanne Caswell, on August 9, 1991, in Brighton, Michigan. Bill had a passion for hunting and farming. He operated B & J Farms in Pinckney from 1978 to 2023. When he wasn’t farming, he also worked for GM, retiring after 28 years. Bill was dearly loved by his family and friends; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His Family… Bill will be missed by his wife, Joanne Smith; his children, Donna (Ron) Marshall, Dave (Kristie) Smith, Aaron (Laura) Anderson; siblings, Josephine, Nancy, Thelma, Nell, Ab; grandchildren, Benjamin Smith, Lucas Anderson, Katelyn Anderson; and numerous extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Gertrude Smith; daughter, Lena Smith; and several siblings.
