His Legacy… William J. Robson, 81, passed away January 29, 2023.  He was born on March 11, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan to Orin Allen Robson and Ruth Violet (Kermode) Robson. Bill was a man of many different talents. He spent 20 years as a volunteer firefighter in Northfield Township and was very proud of his service. During that time he also drove a semi for a local beer supplier, the All Star Beverage Company. Bill also worked at the GM Proving Grounds, he was the midnight supervisor for test driving cars. He stayed there for 25 years before taking an early retirement. Bill was also a talented builder. He built 2 houses and turned them into rental properties, and even built the road to his home. He named it Silverton Drive, after his favorite place, Silverton Colorado. Bill was also a farmer, and maintained an 80 acre property in Kalkaska, MI. It was his home away from home retreat. He built the pole barn, which included an apartment with 2 full baths. He used the property to set up deer camp, he spent a lot of time hunting there with good friends. Bill also had a side business plowing snow, called Silverton Enterprises. He had a huge heart and would gladly plow snow for the elderly and he would not accept payment if he knew they were in need. Bill was an animal lover, and he loved birds. He built many beautiful birdhouses, and one of his birdhouses was featured in Birds and Blooms magazine. Bill was truly one of a kind and loved by many. He will be dearly missed.

His Family… Bill will be missed by his son, Gregory (Laura) Robson; sisters, Pam (George) Hicks, Sue Payuer; grandson, Alan Robson; and many special, close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orin and Ruth Robson.

His Farewell… Bill’s family and friends will gather from 4:00PM-8:00PM, February 7, 2023, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home. Reverend Bill Donahue will serve as celebrant.
