William "Bill" Follis

His Legacy… William David Follis, age 62, passed peacefully Monday, July 6, 2020 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Bill was born on March 31, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan to William and Rita (Servicky) Follis. He graduated from Seaholm High School in Birmingham, MI. Bill married the love of his life, Diane Weeks, on May 19, 1995 in Hamburg, Michigan. He was a 33 year resident of Ore Lake Little Farms off the Huron River was home for him. Bill was a Design Engineer in the Automotive Industry for the better part of 35 years of his career. However, Bill’s passion lead him to community service, where he served as member of the Boy Scouts, Hamburg Township Pack/Troop 391 Treasurer for over a decade. He was a member of the Madison Heights Area Lion’s Club since 1986, a past member of Livingston Conservation Club, and a J.C.I. Senator of the Jaycee Organization since 1990. His most important achievement was being a loving husband, father and Pappy. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His Family… Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Weeks Follis of Brighton; stepchildren, Dionna (Michael) Guy of Pinckney, Dana (Eric) St. Pierre of Pinckney; and grandchildren, Devon McQuade, Aaricka St. Pierre, and Madison St. Pierre. He is also survived by sisters, Cheryl Miller of Powhatan, VA, Chris Johns of Portland, OR; brother, Michael and Judy Follis of Spring, TX; God daughter, Kimberly and Pat Lucey; and great niece, Abby Lucey of Cave City, KY.

His Farewell… Feel free to join the family on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Noon for his final graveside interment at Hamburg Cemetery in Hamburg, MI.
