William “Bill” Hess

William Joseph Hess, age 92, of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1932, in Frostburg, Maryland.

Bill lived a full and active life. He was a longtime member of the Livingston County Conservation Club and the Whitmore Lake Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed golfing at Rush Lake Golf Course, hunting, skiing with the Eagles Ski Club, and traveling with friends—whether on cruises or adventures in the Alps.

He is survived by his sisters, Lois and Peggy; his daughter-in-law, Julie Hess; his grandchildren, Matt, Jake, and Lindsey; and his great-grandchildren, Wade, Dean, Margot, and Violet. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Mike Hess.

“Wild Bill” will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
